The Chalone Appellation, situated in the Gabilan Mountain Range of Monterey County, displays many unique features consisting of jagged volcanic rock merging at the Pinnacles, rolling green vineyards, and bright limestone and decomposed granite soils. The Chalone Appellation is unique due to these convergences of extreme geography. The resulting wines from the area are lush, concentrated and have a distinctive mineral taste.

Until recently, the Appellation was home to a handful of growers and a single winery. Now the Appellation consists of fourteen different producers.

The Pinnacles Wine Festival was established to remember and celebrate over thirty years of winemaking success stories from Chalone Appellation. From a strong showing at the Paris tasting to a string of 90+ point scores of recent memory, Chalone Appellation has been consistently outperforming other wine-growing regions.

On Saturday, April 26 from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., food and wine lovers are invited to enjoy a very special event. Hosted by the Inn at the Pinnacles, in the heart of the Chalone Appellation, the Pinnacles Wine Festival showcases the finest in wine and culinary experiences. This is the only festival which comprises of every wine producer from a wine appellation, paired with an abundance of five-star restaurants, Hog Island Oysters, and much more. It is a rare opportunity to speak with winemakers, chefs and proprietors. In its fourth year, the Pinnacles Wine Festival looks to be more sensory-provoking and breath-taking than ever.

A portion of the ticket proceeds, as well as proceeds from the silent auction, will benefit the Richard H. Graff Wine Scholarship Fund.
